Cute Shirts, Cute Girls

Layne just couldn't stand that Megan was wearing her long sleeve princess shirts during the summer.  So, he bought her a short sleeved princess shirt.  He's learned that if you give one child something - you have to have a plan for the other child/ren.  Princess shirts for Daddy's princesses.  I was surprised he came home with these - it might be one of the handful of times he's actually purchased clothing for the kids.  He did good - they were on a huge sale and just happened to have the sizes the girls needed.

That sure was nice...

We were getting out of the truck yesterday and Megan said, "That sure was nice of grandpa to share is truck with us.".  I agreed with her.  Thanks for the use of the truck while we figure out other options!

I have my husband back!

Layne is actually home most evenings and week-ends lately.  It's a new thing for me.  I realize I should be used to having my husband around - but, I'm not.  I'm used to him being gone at odd, if not seemingly all hours of the day.  Don't misinterpret - I don't feel a bit bad about needing to get used to having him around.  What was I thinking - starting a blog when I could be spending time with my husband?

Slip 'n Slide Action Shots

The kids had a great time on the slip 'n slide this past week.  We might even try it again sometime.

I can see their eyes!

The girls have needed hair cuts for...hmm... almost as long as I have.  I was thrilled to come back from soccer with the boys to see my girls with shorter hair.  Thanks Layne for being not only 'Chef Daddy' - but, the family 'hair technician'.  (Layne cuts everyone's hair except for mine - even his own.)
